I'm Barry Honeyman, a financial coach based in Stirling.
I spent 22 years in global finance, latterly as a financial adviser. In 2026 I stepped away from regulated advice to focus on the part I always found most valuable: sitting on the same side of the table as people and helping them get clear, confident and committed to a plan they own.
Who I work with
I work mainly with self-employed people and small business owners: people whose income goes up and down, whose tax bill arrives in lumps, and who don't have an employer sorting their pension. I also work with busy professionals who earn well but don't feel in control of their money.
Entirely on your side
I have no products to sell, I don't earn commission and I don't take introducer fees, so nothing is riding on your decisions except your plan.
What I don't do
Recommend specific investments, pensions, products or providers. When you need regulated advice, I'll say so plainly and help you work out what to ask.
What I do
Help you see where your money goes, decide what matters most, build a plan you'll actually follow, and keep you on track.
Outside work
Outside work, you'll find me gigging around Central Scotland with a guitar and spending time driving my 3 kids to their activities. I also serve as trustee on charity boards.
